Linda Laird earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Southern Mississippi and worked as an illustrator and graphic artist for 21 years.  With the birth of her son, she was fortunate enough to stay home and pursue a new art form…pottery. Her love of animal motifs and ancient native designs, along with a lifelong fascination with anthropology, heavily influence her work.

As a pottery artist, her passion became decorating her wheel thrown or hand-built bowls, platters, mosaics, and tiles as well as hand carved animals.  She has done some architectural work including tiles for countertops and backsplashes behind both stoves and sinks. One of her creations was featured on HGTV’s “Designer’s Challenge.”
